TELEVISION

The older I get, the more television terrifies me. In some respects it has never been better as more opportunities for cutting edge programmes to appear in schedules (albeit buried) but at least they are being made in the first place. Also with HBO programming is for the first time consistently surpassing its motion picture equivalent.

On the downside however the majority of the time channels/schedules are chock full of fodder aimed at a bottom feeding audience. For me these days I see on the popular/mainstream channels I see little more than reality TV and programming that resembles little more than advertising and promotion of stars and products. There is no art or craft being putting into most shows anymore, it is just a method of elongating people’s careers and keeping them in their big houses, stocked up on drugs and pussy (or cock).

The fact that the reality that there is permanently at least one TV on in my apartment terrifies me. Its there for ambience, seldom do I actually watch it I just need it there sat in the background as some kind of rolling ambience to provide noise/sound and ensure that I don’t miss anything in case it happens.
